Viña Tipaume is a Biodynamic winery founded in 1996 when the Pouzet-Grez family purchased 6.5 hectares (16 acres) in the small village of Cerrillos, near Rancagua in Alto Cachapoal, at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Chile. Tipaume is run by family member Yves Pouzet, a French national with a degree in agronomy (Ingénieur Agronome) from the Institut National Agronomique de Paris. He worked in his native Beaujolais, and for William Fevre in Chablis. He later moved to Chile and was involved there with Viña Los Vascos in its early stages. He was winemaker for Viña Porta from 1993-1995, and at Torreón de Paredes from 1997.
