The Tuscan-Romagna Apennines is a subdivision of the Apennine chain or a stretch of the northern Apennines, involving Romagna, Tuscany, the Republic of San Marino and the northern parts of Le Marche and Umbria. The highest peak is Monte Falco (1,658 metres above sea level). It hosts several protected natural areas including the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests, Monte Falterona and Campigna and the Regional Natural Park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello. To the west the mountain range continues with the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and to the south-east with the Umbrian-Marche Apennines.
