Teruzzi is an estate in the San Gimignano region of Tuscany. It was founded in 1974 by Enrico Terruzi and his French ballerina wife Carmen Puthod as Teruzzi e Puthod. It has since grown to become one of the biggest producers of Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG and DOCG Riserva. Red San Gimignano Rosso DOC is also made. The company is located north-east of the town of San Gimignano, in località Casale.

Terre di Tufi: 60% Trebbiano Toscano, 40% Vernaccia. From vines in Casetta.
Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, Teruzzi: 2011 Uneven, sweet and sour (Anteprima 2013). | 2012 Lean, the grapes seem a bit heat stressed (Anteprima 2013). | 2012 Unoaked. Gluey nose, fullish, either just bottled or poor (DWWA 2013).

Melograni: 85% Sangiovese, 15% Petit Verdot. From vines in Montegonfoli.
San Gimignano Rosso DOC, Peperino: In the 1980s Enrico Teruzzi saw the potential for red wines in San Gimignano by creating the Sangiovese-based ‘Peperino’. Now 40% Merlot, 60% Sangiovese. From vines in Casetta. | 2000 Sangiovese.
