Terrantez is a white wine grape described by Richard Mayson as ‘highly prized’ in Madeira where it was ‘driven almost to extinction in the 1970s and is now making a fantastic comeback,’ (Decanter World Wine Awards 2017 issue, p.231). It is said to give richly perfumed, medium sweet wines between Bual and Verdelho.
