Tenute del Cerro S.p.A is the Wine Company of Gruppo Unipol, one of the biggest European Insurance Companies (source: website Nov 2015). The first wine company the group bought was Fattoria del Cerro in Montepulciano in Siena province in Tuscany. This was acquired in 1978. Other members of the group: La Poderina in the Montalcino region in Siena province in Tuscany, Còlpetrone in the Montefalco region in Perugia province, Umbria, and Monterufoli in the Val di Cornia region in Pisa province on the Tuscan coast.
