Systemics or systemic sprays or treatments used in conventional farming and wine-growing which penetrate the crop plant and thus are taken into its system. In wine-growing their residues end up in the vine sap, grape juice, wine and wine drinker. Systemics interfere with the activities of the yeasts, and cause off-flavours.
