Owner: Francesca Ventura and her brother Michele (originally from Rome, former journalist) took over their family estate in the early 1990s. There father was lawyer and who made wine for fun here, Michele took over the estate in the early 1990s when he was in his early thirties. The estate had been in the family for generations and when Michele took over there were 2.5ha of cereals, a small herd of cows and a vineyard dating from the 1950s. There was no ‘phone or electricity.
