Simone Zemella is Operations managers/Oenologist at Tenuta La Novella in the Chianti Classico DOCG region of Tuscany. He is originally from Pitigliano (Grosseto), and is the son of a farmer. He started his studies in Italy before staying five years in France (Bordeaux) to become enologist. He worked in prestigious vineyards, especially in the United States (California, Napa Valley), New Zealand (Central Otago), as well as the Bordeaux region (in the Graves AOC at Chateau Belon in St-Morillon, a conventionally run estate). He returned to his native Italy when he joined Tenuta La Novella.
