San Vincenti is a winery in Gaiole-in-Chianti in the Chianti Classico DOCG region of Tuscany, Italy. It makes Chianti Classico DOCGred wines.

Owner: Roberto Pucci (could be underrated?). He came to Chianti Classico to buy a house, and bought the estate for its fabulous views of Mount Amiata and Montalcino.

Staff: Consultant Oen: Carlo Ferrini.

Estate vineyards: At the time of Pucci’s purchase the estate comprised 5ha. Having decided to make wine, this rose to around 10 hectares under vine.

Red wines

Chianti Classico DOCG, Podere di Stignano: 2003 Dry and a bit extracted and slightly dirty but some decent fruit underneath (At Argiano 31 March 2005). | 1996 Bottled.

Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva, Podere di Stignano: 1999 Produced. | 2010 100% Sangiovese. Clear, ripe hawthorn and redcurrant, ripe and clear, soft, ripely plump (Bronze at DWWA 2013).

Stignano, IGT Toscana Rosso: 1997 Bottled. | 1998 Bottled. | 2001 Sangiovese, Merlot. A bit over-extracted, think these wines need a bit of time to blow off the oak, could also be a bit over-ripe at Argiano on Thursday 31 March 2005.) | 2008 50% each Merlot & Sangiovese. £15-29.99. Ripe, restrained and classy, elegant palate, clean, clear and ripely assured, polished – a tick-box wine that lacks complexity? (Commended DWWA 2013).
