Red wines
Val di Cornia Rosso DOC Riserva, Barbicone: 2000 Sangiovese mainly, plus Colorino. Alberto Antonini consulted. | 2002 80% Sangiovese, 20% others. 5,500 bottles.
Val di Cornia Suvereto Rosso, Ceppitaio: 2003 90% Sangiovese, 10% other. 20,000 bottles. exotic fruit and oak and minty; firmish tannins in the middle, and essentially light fruit with some over-ripeness (Bolgheri wine route office 22 Feb 2005).
Toscana Rosso IGT, Sasso Bucato: 2001 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. 6,900 bottles. Thick, heavy smoky style and very inelegant; really think palate; a monster of a wine; far too extracted really, sappy wood too (Bolgheri wine route office 22 Feb 2005).
