Rocca di Meldola is located in the Bidente valley, about 12 km from Forlì in Forlì-Cesena (FC) province, along the provincial road that climbs the course of the Bidente river (the ancient Acquedotto river). The fortress, built on a limestone of marine origin, dominates the center of the country, and is firmly linked to it today as in the past, so much so that for the Meldolese it represents the symbol of the town. From the castle steep and cobbled alleys branch off which lead in a few hundred meters to the central Piazza Orsini, overlooked by the most ancient and noble Meldolese palaces.
