Rapel Valley is one of the largest valleys in the Central Valley in Chile within the wider Rapel area. It is one of the largest valleys in the central region of Chile and its diverse terroirs makes it suitable for a wide range of wine styles. Rapel Valley is located below the Maipo region.

Sub-regions: The Cachapoal and Colchagua valleys are situated within the Rapel valley.

Terroir: Cachapoal runs from Rancagua in the north to Pelequen in the south. Most vineyards lie between 600 and 1,000 meters above sea level.

Climate: Warmer than the Maule region directly to the south. Most rain falls in winter.
