Podere Canalino is an estate winery in Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy. It produces Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.

Vineyards: Podere Canalino’s vineyard was (re)planted in 1999. It is located on Montalcino’s the north-west side. just over 800 metres from the town centre near the town wall where the chestnut forests begin, on the pilgrim’s road which links Siena to Montalcino and on which lies the Romanesque Madonna delle Grazie church. It is accessed from Porta Burelli along a white road (‘strada bianca’).
Vineyards: The Sangiovese vines lie on pre-existing terraces on the town’s north-western slopes at between 350-400 metres. There are 4ha of vines planted at 9,500 vines/ha. The aim is a yield of 800-900g of grapes per plant. Four rootstocks were used. The budwood comprised local biotypes it seems.
