Pigato is a white wine grape variety found in south-west Liguria but is genetically identical to Vermentino, making them two biotypes of the same grape which produce quite diverse wines. The name Pigato means ‘spotty’.

Wine style: ‘Bright stew tones and honeyed, faintly herbal flavours,’ (Tom Bruce-Gardyne).
