Pamela Joan Vandyke-Price née Pamela Joan Walford) (21 March 1923 – 12 January 2014) died after a long illness. Born in 1923, she was the UK’s first serious female wine writer – wine correspondent for The Times and a prolific author whose books included Wines of the Graves, Guide to the Wines of Bordeaux, Guide to the Wines of Champagne and, with Christopher Fielden, Alsace Wines and Spirits.
