NIGL, estate in the township of Senftenberg in the Kremstal region of Niederosterreich (Lower Austria) known for its Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.

OWNER | Martin Nigl used to took take his crop to the cooperative winery in Krems but struck out on his own and is now highly regarded.

VINEYARDS | 10 hectares in the Krems Valley. Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Blauer Zweigelt. The best vineyard site is called Senftenberger Piri or Piri. The Kremsleithen and Hochäcker are on Urgestein or primary rock.
