Narrow Gate Vineyards & Winery is a Biodynamic estate (Demeter-certified) in Placerville in the El Dorado AVA within the wider Sierra Foothills AVA in California.

Biodynamic certification: 2010 First vintage with full Biodynamic certification  for both the vineyards and winery (IBWC 2018).

Vineyards: 2018 13 acres.

Terroir: On volcanic ash with boulders.

Red wines

Grenache Noir: 2014 118 cases. Wild ferment. 10% aged in new French oak. Lovely wild fruit (IBWC 2018).

Primitivo: 2014 165 cases. Juicy (IBWC 2018).

Dunamis: 2013 63% Grenache Noir, 25% Syrah, 12% Mourvedre. Fruit forward with noticeable spice (IBWC 2018).
