Morro d’Alba | township (‘comune’) in Ancona province in the Marche region on Italy’s Adriatic coast (6.2 miles/10km from the Adriatic Sea. Ian D’Agata (2014, p321-323) says the derivation of Morro d’Alba’s name is ‘mur‘ (rock, cliff) and ‘alba‘ (‘high hill’). Soils are mainly clay. Altitude ranges from 160-180 metres.
