Mazzese is a minor red grape variety native to Italy where it is found in Tuscany. There, it is considered one of the region’s oldest varieties. It is probably native to the areas around Pisa and Grosseto on the Tuscan coast. It has large-sized sparse bunches with medium-small berries. Productivity is reliable and abundant.
