Fattoria Le Masse is located in Barberino Val d’Elsa, now called Barberino Tavarnelle in the Chianti Classico DOCG region of Tuscany, Italy. It makes red wines under both the Chianti Classico DOCG and Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG denominations.
Owners: The Mugnani family, since the 1950s, when Paolo Mugnani bought the estate. He was succeeded by his son Alberto, and it was he who enlarged the estate to its current size. Alberto’s wife Christiane has been in charge since 2006, along with their sons, Robin and Lea.
Vineyards: 26 hectares. The vineyards overlook the plateau of Petrognano Barberino and San Donnino.
Olives: 7,000 olive trees.
Organic certification: 2017 In conversion to Biodynamics.

Forasacco, Toscana Bianco IGT: 2017 80% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Grigio.
Red wines
Chianti DOCG: 80% Sangiovese, 20% Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera.
