La Lecciaia is an estate winery In Località Vallafrico in Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy. It produces Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, as well as Sant’Antimo DOC Rosso (all red).
Owner: La Lecciaia was acquired by Mauro Pacini in 1983. He produced his first wine in 1985.

Montalcino vineyards: 70ha of land in total in Montalcino, including woodland and vineyards, in località Vallafrico near the Fattoria dei Barbi estate. 350-400 metres. There are 15ha of vines, of which half are classified for Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.
Vigna Manapetra: 100% Sangiovese. South-east of the town on medium loam with sand and some argillaceous deposits.
Grape purchases: At 2015 Anteprima I was told by someone on the stand that grapes from around 20ha of Montalcino vineyards (owned by small growers) are purchased.
Montecucco vineyards: Pacini bought land (given to grazing) in Campagnatico in the neighbouring Montecucco DOC region in 2000. He planted 15ha of vines (100% red): 5ha of Merlot and Cabernet, and 10ha of Sangiovese. This estate has its own cellar.
Winemaking: 100% hand picked. 50hl oak vats, plus 500-litre tonneaux.

Toscana IGT Bianco: 100% Vermentino from coastal Tuscany.
Toscana IGT Rosso: Red mono-varietal wines (Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) or blends from coastal Tuscany.
Red wines
Toscana IGT Rosso, Millenium: 100% Sangiovese.
Toscana IGT Rosso, Il Baccanale: A super Tuscan. Fattoria la Lecciaia’s premium blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, both produced from grapes handpicked on the estate’s vineyards in Montalcino and aged in oak casks (for the Sangiovese) and barriques (for the Cabernet Sauvignon).
Montecucco DOC Rossso:
Rosso di Montalcino DOC: 2017 30,000 bottles.
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG: 2014 Bright fruit with underlying tannin, approachable now but with the legs to develop further over 8 or so years (Anteprima 2019). | 2015 85,000 bottles.
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, Vigna Manapetra: 2009 12,700 bottles. | 2015 16,500 bottles.
Montecucco DOC Rosso: A blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot.
Sant’Antimo DOC Rosso: 2017 30,000 bottles. Sangiovese, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot.
