Il Colle is an estate in the Montalcino region of Tuscany. It was bought in 1972 by the notary, Alberto Carli. There was a medieval house and 11 hectares of land. The first Brunello di Montalcino wine was the 1978. Annual production is around 25,000 bottles.

Vineyards: 3ha of vines were planted by Alberto Carli from 1972.  400–450 metres asl. | 2019: 8ha of vines of which 3 in the north-east side (Loc. Il Colle) and 5 in the south-east side (Loc. Podernovo dei Campi).

Winemaking: The wines age in 30 and 50 hl Slavonian oak vats.

Red wines

Rosso di Montalcino DOC: 2000 Bottled. | 2003 Nice clear fruit, fresh but light (Anteprima 2005). | 2012 9,333 bottles. Sweet fruit, quite primary (this comes mainly from La Velona), tails off a bit at finish but decent (Anteprima 2014).

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG: 1997 Bottled.

Other activities: 2ha of olive groves.
