Guy de Barjac was a wine producer in Cornas in the northern Rhône producing Cornas AOC red wines. According to John Livingstone-Learmonth the de Barjac family’s roots in Cornas date to the late 1400s, where they provided of most of the stained glass in the church. In later years de Barjac rented out his vineyards to Domaine de Fauterie and Jean-Luc Colombo.

Vineyards: Syrah planted in 1910s in on Barjasse (named after this family’s holding), near Tezier. His other plot was in Chaillot to the north-west.

Winemaking: Guy de Barjac favoured brief fermentations in the 1970s and 1980s (around a week or so).
