Grimm’s Bluff is a Demeter-certified estate vineyard and winery located in the Happy Canyon AVA of Santa Barbara County which is within the blanket Central Coast AVA of California.

Vineyards, wine production: 2018 6.9 hectares (17 acres) producing 1,500 cases.

Terroir | A 1.83 metre (6 foot) deep layer of hard clay over large river bed stones (IBWC 2018).

Biodynamic certification: 2015 First vintage with full Demeter Biodynamic certification for the vineyards.

White wines

Sauvignon Blanc Reserve: 2015 Aged, fermented in a mix of stainless steel, 2nd fill barrels and a concrete egg. Frank fruit (IBWC 2018).

Pink wines

Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon, River Stone: 2017 Plump, well textured (IBWC 2018).

Red wines

Cabernet Sauvignon, Contado: 2014 100 cases. Rich, ripe, clear (IBWC 2018).
