Azienda Agricola Godiolo is an estate winery in Montepulciano in Tuscany. Founded in 2000 it produces Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOC, and Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC.
Owner: Franco Fiorini (agronomist, oenologist). His nephew Mattia Fiorini handles sales.
Vineyards: 20ha of land in total. In the Martiena sub-zone in the southern sector of the Montepulciano region. Hilly. Mixed soils. Silty-clay, sandy-clay. Grey-coloured clay, tufa. 400-480 metres. Overlooks the Dei estate. | 2014 There were 6 hectares (14.8 acres) of vines of which 3 hectares (7.41 acres) of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, 2 hectares (4.94 acres) of Rosso di Montepulciano DOC and 0.5 hectares (1.23 acres) of Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC. The oldest vines date from 1966.

Winemaking: Hand picked.
Production: Total production of around 20,000 bottles.
Sales: 2020 Godiolo’s main export market was Poland (Anteprima 2020).

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG: 2008 95% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and Colorino. | 2010 Undrinkable. Dirty-tasting, really hard to enjoy (Anteprima 2014). | 2013 Vegetal, dusty, sour (Anteprima 2018). | 2016 14% alc. 98% Montepulciano, 2% Canaiolo Nero. Some bright fruit, slightly drying tannins (2019 Anteprima).
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Riserva: 2012 Odd stalky taste (2019 anteprima).
Vin Santo
Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC, Familae: Malvasia, Trebbiano, Grechetto (‘Pulcinculo’).
