ESTATE VINEYARDS | 2008 27ha of land of which 8.5ha vines, 7ha olives, 10ha woodland. Mainly red (50% Sangiovese, 50% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon), and 1ha of white grapes (Viognier, Chardonnay). Limestone soil.

MONTESCUDAIO BIANCO, TRESASSI | 2011 60-70% Viognier + 30% Chardonnay. Steel. 5,000 bottles. Nice and crisp, simple esters at RAW, London Sunday/Monday 20-21st May 2012. / 2012 Sherbet, light at Vinitaly 9th April 2013.

ROSATO DI FONTEMORSI | 2003 85% Sangiovese, 15% Malvasia Nera & Canaiolo. 3,000 bottles. Labelled IGT Toscana Rosato.

MONTESCUDAIO ROSSO, LE COLLINE | Under Merlini this a Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo blend, with Luca d’Attoma consulting.

MONTESCUDAIO ROSSO, VOLTERRANO | 2008 100% Sangiovese. 3-5,000 bottles. Thick, added tannins at RAW, London Sunday/Monday 20-21st May 2012.

MONTESCUDAIO ROSSO, VIGNA SPAZZAVENTO | 2003 85% Sangiovese, 15% Malvasia Nera & Canaiolo. 8,000 bottles. 2004 85% Sangiovese + 15% Malvasia Nera and Canaiolo. / 2010 Steel. Clean, modern, not to extracted at Vinitaly 9th April 2013.

TOSCANA ROSSO, GUADIPANI | Under Merlini this was a Montescudaio cru made from Sangiovese & Cabernet Sauvignon with Luca d’Attoma consulting–I think. 2003 Debut (check). 2004 None made. 2008 70% Sangiovese + 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
