Fattoria Le Casalte is an estate in the Montepulciano region of Tuscany, Italy. Rosso di Montepulciano DOC and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG red wines are made. There is also a Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC.
Owner: Chiara Barioffi (0693.23090).
Background: Bought in 1975 by Chiara Barioffi’s parents. Her father Guido Barioffi managed a Rome bank. Giulio Gambelli consulted.
Estate vineyards: Now 13ha, including 8ha in on the Collina Quercetonda (see the single vineyard wine of that name, below), site of a now-ruined look-out tower.

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Quercetonda: From south-facing vines on the eastern flank of Sant Albino. 350-400m. Some bush vines (alberello). | 2001 Debut.
Vin Santo
Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC, Le Casalte: 1994 Produced. | 2004 Trebbiano, Grechetto, Malvasia.
