Fattoria di Rignana is an organic winery in Panzano-in-Chianti, a locality (‘frazione’) in Greve-in-Chianti, a commune in Tuscany’s Chianti Classico region.
Owner: Cosimo Gericke (whose father bought the estate) and Sveva Rocco di Torrepadula.
Staff: The late Giulio Gambelli was still advising here in 2005 in his eighties. Succeeded by Paolo Salvi.
Vineyards: 120 hectares (296 acres) of land of which 14 hectares (34.6 acres) of vines. 300-400 metres (1,000-1,333-feet). Soils are part galestro, part clay–limestone.
Organic certification: 2014 First vintage with full organic certification.

Chianti Classico DOCG, Fattoria di Rignana: 2002 Chianti Classico Clean, fresh, fruity, nicely made at the winery in 2005. | 2015 Hand picked. Crisp, warm fruit (Anteprima 2018).
Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva, Rignana : 2001 Bit of chocolate but nice wood I think and again light fresh fruity (at the winery, 2005). | 2015 85% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Franc. Nice fluidity (Anteprima 2018).
Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione, Villa di Rignana: 2015 100% Sangiovese.
Rignane Le Villane: 2004 Clean fresh fruity (at the winery, 2005).
