The late Ezio Rivella was born in Piemonte. An Oenologist, he worked as winemaker for Castello Banfi from 1977-2001.In the wake of the Brunellopoli scandal Rivella questioned the viability of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG  remaining a 100% Sangiovese wine.
