Elizabeth Gabay MW became a member of the Institute of Masters of Wine in 1998. She specialises in rosé wines from around the world, as well as in the wines of Provence and Hungary.
Elizabeth is based in southern France (since 2002). She works extensively throughout southern France and is the southern France contributor to the annual Hugh Johnson Pocket Wine Guide, the Provence contributor for Jancis Robinson MW’s World Atlas of Wine and the Provence specialist for the Wine Scholar Guild. She also specialises in the wines of Hungary and Slovakia and is an ambassador the for the International competition Danube Wine Challenge.
Books: In January 2018 Elizabeth’s book ‘Rosé: Understanding the Pink Wine Revolution’ was published by Infinite Ideas. She specialises in rosés around the world as a writer, consultant and lecturer. Elizabeth is president of the jury for the International Rosé Championship.
Journalism: Elizabeth writes for a variety of magazines, both print and on-line including Decanter, Meininger, Imbibe and The Buyer.
Speaking engagements: Elizabeth gives masterclasses at trade shows and at conferences for both trade and consumers.
