Colchagua Valley is a region within the wider Rapel area of the Central Valley of Chile.

Terroir: Described by Peter Richards (Decanter, March 2007) as ‘a vineyard largely centred on the town of Santa Cruz where warm temperatures and deep, fertile soil on flat land are the norm.’

Vineyard area: 1997 ‘A little over 8,000ha’ (Richards, 2007).’ | 2004 22,225ha (Richards, 2007).
