Château Paveil de Luze is located in Soussans-Margaux on the left bank of the Bordeaux region.
Owner: The de Luze family (of Swiss extraction) acquired the estate in 1862.
Classification: 1932: Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Exceptionnel. | 1978: Cru Grand Bourgeois
Vineyards: In 1862 when the de Luze family bought the estate parcels of vines were scattered across Soussans, Arcins, Avensan and Moulis. In the mid-1990s Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Cabernet Franc (5%), and Merlot (30%) were confined to the western part of Soussans, towards Avensan and Château Citran, on a single block on the Maucaillou plâteau. There are 30ha of vines (plus 90ha of grounds).
Winemaking: Concrete and stainless steel vats.
