Château Pape-Clément is an historic estate in Pessac in the Pessac-Léognan AOC on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. It was established in 1300 by Archbishop Bertrand de Goth of Bordeaux, later Pope Clément V, whose insignia still features on the bottle label. Hail virtually destroyed the vineyard in 1937.
