Château Lafont-Menaut is an estate in Martillac in the Pessac-Léognan AOC on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. It was created in 1990 by Philibert Perrin from land once part of the estate belonging to Charles-Louis de Secondat, Baron de La Brède, better known as Montesquieu. Lafont refers to a water source (‘font’) discovered on the property when clearing scrub before planting vineyards. Initial vintages were made at nearby Château Carbonnieux.
