Château Lafon-Rochet is a conventionally run estate in Saint Estèphe on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. It produces red wine under the Saint Estèphe AOC. In 1955 Guy Tesseron, a negociant in Cognac, who was married to Nicole, daughter of the late Emmanuel Cruse of Château d’Issan, bought the estate. He rebuilt the chateau in the 1960s . The Château is a replica of a chartreuse.

Owner: Same as Château Pontet-Canet. Michel Tesseron succeeded Alfred Tesseron (see also Château Pontet-Canet), son of Guy Tesseron.

Former staff: Régisseur: Jean Michel Comme (1990+).

Vineyards: In the south of Saint-Estèphe immediately west of Cos Labory and behind Chateau Lafite. 1855: 22 ha. Cabernet Sauvignon was too high historically

Chapel: this offered a place of prayer to pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.
