Château Houissant is an estate in Saint Estèphe on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. It produces red wine under the Saint Estèphe AOC.

Classification: 1932 Cru Bourgeois Superieur.

Owner: Purchased in 1973 by Jean Ardouin whose paternal grandfather had worked at Château Cos d’Estournel before 1914, while his mother had been maitre de chai at Lafon Rochet.

Vineyards: Cabernet dominated from a clay gravel mound west of (inland from) Château Montrose.
