Château Haut-Batailley is an estate in Pauillac on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. It produces red wine under the Pauillac AOC.
Owner: The Cazes family of Château Lynch-Bages since spring 2017. The vendors were the Brest-Borie family, who had bought the estate in the 1930s. Jean-Eugène Borie and François Xavier Borie were running the estate in the 1990s.
Classification: 1855 Fitfth-growth.
Vineyards: 2017 40ha of land of which 22ha of vines: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, average age of 35 years (Chris Mercer: April 2017).
