Celestino Pecci is an estate winery in Località Viti San Carlo in Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy. It makes Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG red wines. Celestino Pecci founded the estate by acquiring two farmhouses and 40ha of land. Celestino’s daughter Tiziana Pecci has now succeeded him.

Owner: Tiziana Pecci (daughter of the founder, Celestino Pecci).

Background: The estate is named after Celestino Pecci who was born in a farmhouse near the Sant’Antimo Abbey in Castelnuovo dell’Abate in the far south east of the Montalcino region. He was the last of six sons. His parents Guido and Maddalena had hoped he would get an office job in a town and a steady salary, but he wanted to be a farmer. In 1968 and with his wife Idria Celestino acquired two farmhouses and 40ha of land.

Vineyards: One of the vineyards is named after Maddalena, the late mother (d. 2000) of Celestino.

Winemaking: Fermentation in stainless steel.
