Casa Pardet is a winery in the Costers del Segre DO region of Spain.
Owner: Josep Torres Vilamajó manages the family estate, succeeding his father Josep Torres Cucurull, and grandfather, the founder Josep Torres Boncompte.
Casa Pardet is the name of the Torres family’s village house. They were a family of farmers who worked exclusively in grapevines. Josep Torres Boncompte brought from France the typical French varieties (Petit Manseng and Malbec) and he introduced them to the Catalan region of “l’Urgell”. He made wine for personal consumption, selling surpluses to neighbours.
Vineyards: 4.5ha.
Organic certification: 1996 First vintage with full organic certification.
