Cantine del Barone di Luigi Sarno is a winery in the Avellino region of Campania, Italy. The first vineyards were planted in 1987 by Luigi Sarno’s father. From 1996 the decision was made to vinify rather than sell the grapes. In 2008, after obtaining a degree in oenology, Luigi Sarno officially started working here.
Owner: Luigi Sarno (+39 320 6981706).
Vineyards: 2016 8 hectares. Vineyards at 400 metres. Under Luigi Sarno (from 2008) half an hectare of Fiano in Parcel 928 was replanted, to ensure better exposure to the sun. The vineyard is divided into 2 plots in the Nocellato district: 2 hectares from which the grapes for the Paone wine are obtained, and, on the other side of the road, half an hectare whose Fiano grapes are used for the Particalle 928 bottling. There are some ungrafted Avellino vines. Volcanic soils.
