Campello sul Clitunno is a municipality in the Province of Perugia in the Italian region of Umbria, located about 6 miles (10 kms) north of Spoleto and 28 miles (45 kms) southeast of Perugia. The “comune” is divided into the walled medieval castle of Campello Alto on the mountain of Mount Serano, and Campello Basso below in the Clitunno river valley. The Temple of Clitumnus, and the source of the Clitunno River, are located in its territory. It is also a centre for olive oil production.
