Brachetto d’Acqui or Acqui DOCG is a sparkling red wine from the Piemonte region in north-west Italy made from the Brachetto grape. Oz Clarke (2015, p.54) describes Brachetto as a ‘sweet, frothy, perfumed light red.’ Its fruity freshness is best drunk young.
