Bocale is a winery in the Montefalco region of Umbria, Italy. Owners the Valentini family began farming in the early 1900s. In 2002 Valentino Valentini added vineyards. ‘Bocale’ is a term in local dialect for a two-litre mug used for both oil and wine. Red wines are made under the Montefalco Rosso DOC and Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG.

Vineyards: 5ha of land of which 4ha of vines. East-facing. 250-270m. Slightly sloping. Clay soils. The vines occupy rolling hills in Alzatura, an area in Località Madonna della Stella within the commune of Montefalco. A place known and renowned for the sanctuary of the same name and for quality agricultural production.
Viticulture: Mechanical weeding. Cover crops. 2ha of Sangiovese and Merlot and 2ha of Sagrantino.

Umbria Bianco IGT, Spoletino: Made from Trebbiano Spoletino.
