Blanquette de Limoux AOC is a traditional method sparkling wine from the Languedoc region of France. The AOC was granted in 1938. Blanquette de Limoux is made from 90-100% Mauzac and an optional 0-10% Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. The grapes must be grown in 41 townships covered by the Limoux AOC.
Wine style: Oz Clarke (2015, p46) says the Mauzac grape gives Blanquette de Limoux its ‘green apple skin’ flavour.
