Barsac (Post code: F-33720) is a commune on the left bank of the Bordeaux region and the largest of the five allowed the Sauternes AOC. It is the only one of the five also with its own Barsac AOC, reflecting Barsac’s position of being the only one of the five to lie to the north (rather than south) of the Ciron river.
