Barbara Tamburini graduated in viticulture and oenology in 2002 (aged 26) from the University of Pisa in her native Tuscany, having previously obtained a University Diploma in Food Technology with a specialisation in viticulture and oenology. Her first job was at Gualdo del Re in Suvereto with Nico Rossi where she had apprenticed at during her study. She later collaborated with Vittorio Fiore.
