Azienda Agricola Lombardo is an estate in Fraz Gracciano in the northern sector of the Montepulciano region in Siena Province, Tuscany. It lies on hills near to and overlooking the eponymous town. It produces Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG, Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCGs red wines, plus a sweet Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC. Other dry white and red wines are made under the Pergola IGT. The estate was founded in 1972 by Attilio Lombardo. He was succeeded by his sons, Giacinto and Francesco Lombardo (the latter is no longer involved.

Estate vineyards: 32ha, of which 50% is for Vino Nobile. The vines are in three zones: Caggiole, Confino, and Gracciano (where most of the vines, and cellar are).

Wineries: One cellar at Gracciano S.S. 326 is for winemaking and bottling. The other cellar in an 18th-century family villa in Umbria is where the wines mature.

White wines

Pergola IGT Bianco: 60% Trebbiano, 40% Malvasia. 4,000-4,500 vines/ha. Unoaked.

Red wines

Pergola IGT Rosso: 100% Sangiovese. 300-400 metres. Cement vats. Unoaked.

Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG: 100% Sangiovese. 300-400 metres. Cement vats. Unoaked.

Rosso di Montepulciano DOC: 2012 Odd, funk, dry (2014 Anteprima).

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG: 2011 Sweet then a but dry and quite extracted (2014 Anteprima). | 2016 100% Sangiovese. Aged 50% in oak vats, 50% in barrel. An everyday Vino Nobile (2020 Anteprima).

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Riserva: 1998 Bottled. |  2010 Bit green and extracted but has more fruit than the normale (2014 Anteprima).

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Poggio Saragio: 100% Prugnolo Gentile. 300-350 metres. From the Località Poggio Saragio sub-zone (in Le Caggiole) whose name in local dialect refers to cherry trees. Cement vats. 18m in French barrels. | 2015 4,000 bottles. Made for the USA market, hence the chunky oak (2020 Anteprima).

Confino, Toscana Rosso: 60% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. 300-350 metres. Cement vats. 18m in French barrels.

Sweet wines

Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC: Trebbiano, Malvasia and Pulcinculo. 4 months in ‘caratelli’.
