Assisi DOC is located in the central area of Umbria. The DOC dates to 1997. 

White wines

Assisi DOC Bianco: 50–70% Trebbiano, minimum 10% Grechetto Bianco, no more than 40% other authorised white grapes (eg. Grechetto).

Assisi DOC Rosato: 50–70% Sangiovese, 10–30% Merlot, up to 40% other authorised red grapes.

Assisi DOC Rosso: 50–70% Sangiovese, 10–30% Merlot, up to 40% other authorised red grapes.

Assisi DOC Rosso Novello:

Assisi DOC Cabernet Sauvignon: 85% Sauvignon, 0-15% 40other authorised red grapes. Riserva is permitted.

Assisi DOC Merlot: 85% Merlot. 85% Merlot, 0-15% other authorised red grapes. Riserva is permitted.

Pinot nero DOC: 85% Pinot nero, 0-15% other authorised red grapes. Riserva is permitted.
