Argiolas, family-owned winery at Serdiana, near Cagliari on the island of Sardinia (‘Sardegna’). It was founded by Antonio Argiolas in the early 20th-century. He was succeeded his two sons, Franco and Giuseppe. It is now run by the third generation who were aided by consultant Giacomo Tachis.

Nasco di Cagliari DOC, Iselis: 2014 First bottle corked. Second one has TCA too. Some resinous or ‘retsina’ notes underneath at the Vinitaly International Academy Tasting hosted by Ian d’Agata on 01st December 2015 at Signorvino, Veneto, Italy. | 2015 Lovely oily and musky. Part BF and aged in oak. Salty too with Ian D’Agata in NY on Tuesday 27th June 2017.

Nuragus di Cagliari DOC: 2014 Bit of blur on nose but plenty on palate. Seems a bit made, some esters. OK at the Vinitaly International Academy Tasting hosted by Ian d’Agata on 01st December 2015 at Signorvino, Veneto, Italy.

Cardeña: From Vermentino and smaller amounts of other indigenous varieties.

Korem: One of the flagship reds. Considered Turriga’s younger brother.
