Alto Monferrato is a region in Piemonte, north-west Italy whose name translates as the Upper Monferrato (see Monferrato), a system of hilly slopes between 200 and 400 metres, with a temperate-warm climate (around 1700 degree days with altitude-related differences) but fairly ventilated, especially in spring and late summer.
Wines: Cortese dell’Alto Monferrato DOC.
